From the Foster Family: This best friend duo arrived in Mending Spirits Animal Rescue when their owner could no longer care for them. Care Bear and Jinxi are both very sweet and enjoy being hand-fed treats of all flavors. They love eating elaborate meals, playing with cardboard rolls, boxes and getting new toys. Their foster mom loves to make them colorful fleece blankets to lay on. They keep fairly quiet for most of the day, but both start majorly wheeking when they know that food is being prepared or if they want more snacks! Both of them tolerate being held and are quite comfortable hanging out in someone’s arms after they settle.

About Me: Our favorite foods are fresh veggies especially carrots, spinach, cucumber, celery, apples, broccoli, grapefruit, and peppers! We eat pellets in the morning and about 2 cups of fresh veggies a day. We are good are sharing and get along very well in our foster home. In fact, we have never ever been apart. We really love to try new foods together and both have great and insatiable appetites, (we can never get enough Timothy hay!) We get super excited in the mornings when our foster mom wakes us up and we love to celebrate the new day by wheeking to her!

At one point, Care Bear and Jinxi were a bonded pair of three (until one passed away prior to coming to the rescue). During their stay at their foster home, they assisted as being temporary foster brothers to a young Guinea Pig named Bebe, they accepted him right away and they lived together for several weeks. Bebe ended up finding another young male pig closer in age to bond with instead and was helped tremendously by these two accepting boys. Care Bear and Jinxi would be a great addition to any family as a bonded pair of two, and they would likely be accepting of a third-social male.
