Kitty was adopted from the Yolo County SPCA in December of 2011.  A man and his 2 daughter’s selected Kitty and she had a good life.  She lived indoors with a view of the world through a large window.  She had toys and a tower, a scratching post and comfy bed.  She always had food and water and a clean litter box.  As happens in life the humans made changes and moved on and out.  It was time for Kitty to move on as well.  Kitty moved in with a older human who had always loved cats.  Kitty’s good life continued.  She had toys and a tower, a scratching post and comfy bed.  She always had food and water and a super deluxe easy clean litter box.  Her new human liked nothing better than to sit and watch an old movie on TV with Kitty curled up on her lap. Kitty thought nothing could be better either.  After a couple of years Kitty’s human slowed down.  This was fine with Kitty because it meant more comfy lap time in front of the old movies and more cozy time on the bed while they slept.  Now Kitty’s human is very ill.  There are many humans who come and go these days; some are nurses from hospice, some are care givers, some are family.  They all wear masks and talk in quiet voices.  They move Kitty from her comfy spot on the bed while they tend to Kitty’s favorite human but they always scratch her ears, pat her head and return her to her spot when they are done.  Kitty’s favorite human no longer leaves the bed.  There are no more old movies to watch on a comfy lap.  Other people pet het and fill her food and water bowls.  The litter box is still cleaned but things are different.  Something is changing.  Kitty needs a new home.
