What Jasmine's foster has to say about her!
Jasmine has been living in a home with three heelers, one old cat, and a changing assortment of foster puppies since she was about 3 months old. Currently Jasmine is a trim 52 pounds at 2.5 years old. She enjoys some ball time to release her inner puppy, but mostly enjoys sniffer walks on a long lead in the woods. Jasmine is easy and willing to train and very treat motivated.
Jasmine has developed the following skills:
Recall is good unless she's after a bunny/squirrel.
House and dog door trained
Leave it (as in yuk don't eat that)
Wait (at the door or gate)
Sit, shake, down and touch
Rollover (onto one side)
Gentle (for taking treats)
Go around (to free leash from tree)
Paw (help free leash from feet)
Jasmine is crate trained and sleeps there through the night. She also loads into the truck and waits quietly while you run errands. Jasmine is not a fan of being away from her family for long periods. She is not a lap dog,but seeks to stay close. Unlike her heeler house mates she only barks when she sees strangers (human or animal). When upset she whines. And she can turn up both the duration and volume. She is a sensitive dog emotionally and does not respond well to harsh treatment from other dogs or from people. Jasmine would do well in a home with a non-confrontational male dog like the one she lives with now. Dominance with female dogs her age has been an issue.
