Cosmo is a happy-go-lucky hound mix who is playful, sweet, and cuddly. He just had

his first birthday on April 16th, and likes to chew, so it’s good to have chew toys readily

available. He LOVES his Kong, and will focus on it for hours when it’s filled with peanut butter!

Cosmo loves to be around you, and can spend time just snoozing in the same room. He loves

to play, whether chasing a ball, or chasing you! After exercising, he can keep himself busy with

his toys if you have things you need to be doing, or you just want to relax with a show or a

book.

Cosmo gets along well with children and animals, and views them all as potential best

friends, but is very boisterous, so he needs a firm hand.

Cosmo is a medium sized dog, weighing in at around 70 lbs. This big boy has an

incredible sense of smell, being a Catahoula hound mix, and therefore is easily distracted on

walks. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way towards making your outings

enjoyable.

Cosmo is crate trained and potty trained. He also knows some basic commands such

as “Off” “Heel” “Sit” “Come” and “Down”. He has some anxiety about being left alone, and

therefore should be crated at night, or if there is no one around to supervise him. Items left

within reach or on the floor are fair game to Cosmo, so be sure to put anything you don’t want

chewed on in its proper place. He will make a wonderful companion for an individual or family,

and would love a home with or without other pets.
