Licorice is a 4 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who is sweeter than candy! Licorice was rescued from the shelter after everyone picked their movie theater snacks and left her behind. As a #TeamRedVine member, our shelter volunteer scooped up this gorgeous girl and promised to find her a perfect candy basket to land in for this spooky season. Licorice will be a medium sized dog when she is fully grown and we know she will be the perfect addition to her forever home! She is such a happy girl and lives every day to the fullest, greeting each morning with a wagging tail and a smile on her face. Licorice is the perfect blend of puppy energy. When she’s up, she’s ready to go for hours but as soon as she tires herself out she’s ready for a long snooze. Her dream home is any place where she can live her best and most fun-filled life. Licorice wakes up at 7 AM and goes out into the yard to do her business. She comes inside and has her breakfast and then gathers up her toys and starts her daily activities. She spends her mornings alternating between zooming around the yard and napping on the couch. She gets a snack around noon followed by more playtime in the yard and sometimes a stroller ride to the local coffee shop. In the afternoon, she plays with her mountain of plush toys as her people finish their workdays. She naps until dinner at 6 PM and then plays in the yard for some more time. In the evening, she lounges on the couch as her people watch TV and then heads to bed at 10 PM after one last potty trip. 

Licorice gets along well with dogs and would love a playmate in her forever home. She could also thrive as a solo gal as long as she gets love and attention! She loves people and has adored all the kids she’s met out and about. Since she’s still a puppy, her forever home will need to practice good puppy manners and behaviors as she grows.
