They should call him “Petey the Sweetie”because that’s who he is! He’s a super affectionate guy, so much so that he can’t help but throw his WHOLE body into your hands as you give him pets! If you like a conversational kind of cat, then look no further! Petey is a MEOW-sical maestro and will be the BEST conversation partner, frequently meowing in response when you talk to him. Plus, the mellow hum of his motorboat purr will be a steady constant, because he’s just so happy to be around people! In fact, people make him so happy that he marches in place, making nonstop biscuits at even the lightest of head scritches.
He enjoys an energetic play session from time to time with a laser pointer or wand toy, and curiously explores every corner of his space, from floor to ceiling! But don’t worry, he knows how to chill out with the best of them as long as you have a lap to sit on, a blanket to curl up under, or both (his foster parents can confirm, he will snuggle your legs WHILE napping under a cozy blanket)! He is growing his hair back after getting treated for his allergies, but he’s recovering well in his foster home and is more than ready to get cozy in his forever home!

Due to being fostered as a single cat, it is unknown how well he would do with other pets or children in a household. He has shown friendly curiosity towards the sounds of other cats meowing from videos, which is a good sign that with a gentle introduction process, he could do well in a home with other cats.

Adoption fee: $200, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
