Hello! My name is Monica Gallagher and I'm the queen bee! I was living in someone's garage when my foster mom found me. I'd just had my second litter of kittens - I know what you're thinking, I look too young to be a momma kitty. You're not wrong, I was definitely made to be pampered! I'm a pretty young thing, foster mom thinks I'm only about a year and a half to two years. Getting used to the indoor life has been a steep learning curve. Specifically living with two crazy, stinky dogs: I stand my ground but I'd prefer to not have any doggos in my forever home. I do enjoy having other kitties to hang out with, though I prefer a parallel existence, unless I'm ready to play and party. I think I'd do well with a laid back, chill kitty. Foster mom thinks I may even do well as an only pet! It will likely take me a bit of time to warm up to you in your home - I'm still learning the ropes of being an indoor kitty. But once I'm feeling more confident like my strong, independent self I love pets. Sometimes pets/scritches can feel a bit intense, my foster mom thinks I have hyperesthesia: also known as "skin rolling." This just means physical touch stimulation can be overwhelming at times: no biggie though! If you see my back twitch with pets, scratch my chin/head instead or give me some time to relax. I'm a huge flirt once I start feeling comfy: I'll chirp, roll on my back and ask you for lots of attention. I haven't quite figured out snuggling, though foster mom does think I will come around to it (when there aren't these damn dogs around!). I may take a little while to warm up and extra patience as I learn you and you me - but I'm so worth it! I'm a really sweet, quirky lady. Are you my forever?
Born August 2023.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
