I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Kyree, and I am a sweet kitty! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be myself.

What My Foster Says About Me:  Kyree is one awesome cat.  We love, live, live having him here.  He is very social and affectionate.  He’s got the cutest round face, fluffy fur and slightly bow-legged stance.  And his fur is oh so soft.  Plus, he’s super gentle, even when getting his nails clipped or taking medication.  He loves to eat and to lounge and sleep.  He often sleeps on his side with his chin turned up, which is super cute.  And, he’s starting to play as he gets more comfortable.

He doesn’t usually jump in your lap, but if you pick him up, he will sit on your lap for as long as you want, purring and drifting off to sleep as you stroke him. He especially likes head and chin rubs, and does a cute swish with his tail - indicating how much he likes what you are doing.  Sometimes if you need to move him, he will try hold on to you: “I don’t want you to stop petting me!”  It’s very adorable.  He’s easy to pick up and hold, and did we mention his super soft fur??

He loves the scratching mat we got him.  It’s got a vertical part that he likes to scratch, and a horizontal part that is a favorite perch.  When he first got here, that’s where we would find him most often, although now he prefers the sofa. Kyree is very expressive. He will lick his lips when he sees you eating or when you bring him his meal.  He will meow and excitedly greet you with purrs when you come home.  He can be chatty when he wants something- either food or attention.

Kyree likes wet food best and uses the litter box like a pro. He didn’t play much with toys much at first, now likes to play with a cat dancer. He’s said to be good with other cats, and was ready to meet other cats we have fostered, though they weren’t ready to meet him.  He’s going to make someone super lucky!!

What the Shelter Says About Me: Kyree showed up in the shelter parking lot ready to adopt a family. Someone loved this boy, paid him a lot of attention, and played with him - you can just tell. His chunky face and body along with all of his charisma, make Kyree totally irresistible. His brown tabby-ness is unusual in that it has a red tint to his back legs and tail. Kyree plays with gusto and will engage with you as long as you want him to. Whiskers forward - muscles engaged, ready to pounce! Then he is going to settle down for a nap - because he gave you his all. He is more laid back than high drive. You want to carry him around? - ok! We don't know where Kyree came from but he is a gentleman to cats and volunteers. Kyree may look like a stern tomcat in his photos or real life, but speak to him or look at him, and his eyes soften and he becomes a mushy baby boy. Look at that precious pink tongue habitually sticking out in anticipation of some of life goodness - and looking all cute!
