FOSTER UPDATE!:

"This guy is an angel! We love seeing him start to relax from his nervousness and feel comfortable here. The first night he was so nervous he barely ate dinner! Today he’s eating like a champ. He is so sweet, and has great manners. He has had no accidents, doesn't try to get into anything he shouldn’t (like trash, plants, counters), and is being super polite with our 5 year old dog in the house. He goes right in his crate! No issue at all!

He is starting to initiate play, too. This guy loves to get some zoomies in the backyard. He’s kind of awkward and uncoordinated and we love that about him! He’s not sure how to play with toys! He loves hugs, boops, and putting his big paws on you!

Mr. Teddy is a joy to have around!"

TEDDY - 1-5 years old, 65 pounds, nervous but friendly when he knows you, pulls hard on the leash when he wants to go

It took a hot minute to leash this big boy up in the kennel. He is scared. He pancakes to the floor when the door is opened. His eyes straining to look up at you while his head is on the floor.

Outside he's better. He approaches for treats and sniffs. It might take a little for him to warm up to you. Time and patience will be important with Teddy.

Teddy is estimated to be 1-5 years old but he has some super white teeth leading us to believe he might be at the front end of that estimate. This means he might act more puppy like when he is finally comfortable with a new family. Writing this here bc he is a big big boy and a strong strong boy and if he becomes more playful and active, you need to be ready! Training always helps strengthen the bond between new dog and new owner and also gives the dog some mental stimulation, make him think! 

Teddy's muscular body is covered with mainly white fur. He has splotches of brown on his back and a brown mask with very cropped brown ears.

That's about all we know about him so far. We will update when we learn more. Until then, bring any resident dog in for a meet and greet! Teddy is currently in our large dog adoption kennel so come on in to meet him!
