Come meet Taly and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (05/11) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Kensington, MD (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!

Name:   Taly         Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier / Corgi mix  

Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of 4/18/2025         SEX:   female

Approximate Weight:  16.2 lbs

Gets Along With:  other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
 

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home. 

Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.

Taly is Looking For:   Someone who is looking for a small, active dog! Taly is a lively and playful dog that loves to engage with her humans. now that spring weather is here, Taly can't wait to go on long walks and visit the dog park where she can run off-leash with other dogs. She's a smart girl who will need to be kept busy. Dogs with herding ancestors weren't meant to sit around all day.

Training will be fun for both of you as the small terriers are known for their intelligence and ability to learn new things quickly. Taly may love chasing balls, learning tricks, or even agility courses. Try a bit of everything and see what she likes best! 

What My Foster Says About Me: Taly is slowly adjusting to life in the big city. She would love to have a home where someone is around most of the time. She will settle into her crate when I’m with her and to sleep overnight. We are working on helping her feel more comfortable when left alone.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
