MANCHY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Come meet Manchy and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (05/11) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Kensington, MD (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!
Name: Manchy Best Guess for Breed: Rat Terrier / Terrier mix
Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of 04/18/2025 SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 14 lbs.
Gets Along With: other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.

Manchy is Looking For: a family to have fun with! At about 18 months of age, Manchy is still full of youthful energy and excitement. This little dog can't wait to come to the city and start exploring. She's heard there are so many exciting sights and smells, lots of other dogs to meet and these places called dog parks where dogs can run off-leash. Manchy gives each one of these a big paws up!
Rat terriers are known for being intelligent and easy to train. Expect Manchy to enjoy puzzle toys but not for long - she's likely to solve the puzzle pretty quickly. Whatever you decide to do with Manchy, we predict she will tackle it with gusto!
What My Foster Says About Me: Manchy is the sweetest and happiest girl! She's getting more comfortable every day but still needs more socialization with other dogs. So far no accidents in the house and she is fine hanging out in the exercise pen. Manchy loves long walks, cheese, jumping on the couch, running (she's fast!), and finding your slippers. She's adorable when she runs around trying to get your attention.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
