Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of May 2025         SEX:   Female

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   9 lbs as of 4/28/25

Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. 

Additionally, dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because Britney is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.

Britney is Looking For:  Hola! I'm Britney and I spent the first five months of my life on Vieques, Puerto Rico. It was nice and warm and all that but ya know, it's a small island and I want to see the world! The DC area sounded like a great place to do that! I'm looking for my own humans for walks and romps in parks and all those adventures! And I want to make pup pals along the way! And I want snuggles and cuddles too! 

Most of all, though, I want to know where I belong, to always be safe and loved. What do you say? Do I get to grow up with you?

What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
