BUTTERBALL NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Butterball          Best Guess for Breed:  Lab and terrier mix

Best Guess for Age:  8 months as of May 2025      SEX:    Female

Approximate Weight:   39 lbs as of 5/4/25; she is still growing!

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We have also tested Butterball with some of the cats at the shelter and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Butterball could live with cats, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss strategies to introduce a new pup to your pack! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to escape!

Butterball is Looking For:   Her forever family! She's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and world exploration. She'd love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please!

But you know what she wants most of all? To know where she belongs, to know she's safe and loved for all her days. She promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship in return - and to always make you smile. What do you say? Is Butterball the one you see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has a foster!
