Sophie is a very loving, playful, lap cat.  She had apparently been abandoned when she became pregnant.  A kind lady found her on her porch, fed her and prepared a shelter. The lady was very allergic and could not take her inside.  The cat had five kittens, sadly three kittens disappeared presumably taken by predator birds.  A rescue picked up the cats and put them in foster care. The kittens were quickly adopted but the mother remained with the foster.

The foster is elderly and surrendered Sophie because she feels Sophie will outlive her for quite a few years and deserves a long happy life.

Sophie has lived with six other cats;  they got along well in a four room house with glass enclosed porch.

Sophie's beautiful green eyes follow her human's every move.  It is believed she would be good with children, however has only been with teenagers for short periods of time and adults.  She likes interactive toys and enjoys high perches and tunnels on a cat tower.

Adoption fee: $200, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
