Chia Pet is a 1 year old Jindo-Shiba mix who weighs 30lbs. He immediately stole the hearts of our volunteers when he came off the plane. He was a favorite from the word go. He pranced out and was so excited and happy to meet everyone. This is the kind of dog that changes lives. The best picture of that day is one of our high school students dancing with him! He's an amazing dog and proving to be more so every day in his new foster home.

Chia Pet gets along well with other dogs. He's an option to go to the dog park or doggy day camp. He loves going on walks, hikes and playing in the backyard. It's fair to say he may never have had a backyard before to play in so this is like Disneyland to him! He thinks he hit the jackpot. He met a mirror and wasn't too sure about the dog in the reflection. He huffed a but his foster home promises to keep introducing him to "that" dog and make them friends. His foster reports he has the most amazing, thick, fluffiest coat. Ahhh, our boy is a dream maker!

Chia is an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are children in the home they will need to be over 7.
