    Young, sweet, beautiful and loving.

SWEET PEA is a smart, beautiful, long-haired cat. Her coat is a soft mix of grey and buff, a subtle dilute calico/grey tabby. She has an amazingly soft coat and looks a bit like a Maine Coon. Her personality is friendly and loving and she talks to us. Sadly right now she often tells us that she's bored and unhappy, so we are praying for a wonderful home for her soon...  SweetPea does NOT like other cats, and we can understand why, she gets bullied and picked on by so many of them. Right now she lives in a very cozy, heated shed home, with plenty of light and a cat door to go out into the garden. However another female cat moved in because SHE liked the luxury shed too, and of course SweetPea and the other cat don't much like one another. And as if that wasn't bad enough, a possum has been going in the cat door and hanging out (were closing cat flap in the evening now!).

We understand why this beautiful and gentle cat doesn't like other cats who really bully her although she doesn't seem to do anything to deserve it, and even cats that don't normally bully, pick on her!  So SweetPea would love to be the only cat in her home, and we know this would literally transform her into a much happier kitty. She would be fine indoors, but love the opportunity to go outside and does not wander far.

Sweet Pea was found in a backyard in the summer of 2016 and was very small at the time.  She immediately came to the kind woman who found her and gave her lots of love and a healthy diet. She was brought to ‘For The Cat Sake’ to find her forever home.

Sweet Pea is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive but has never shown any signs of illness, so we do plan to retest very soon. Her diagnosis does not require any special medication and the veterinarian said she may never get sick.  FIV can NOT be transferred to humans and is an autoimmune disease that ONLY affects felines.  FIV can only be transferred to other cats through deep bite wounds, not by sharing food or water with other cats.  Most likely Sweet Pea will continue to thrive and live a normal life.
