Hi my name is Regina, and I am an Australian Kelpie Mix and am about 3 ½ years old. I am very obedient and extremely smart dog according to my foster mom. I came from Texas to my new foster mom’s house. I still don’t know why my prior owner got rid of me after all the time we spent together and everything they taught me how to do. My foster mom kennel trained me which I really do not mind when she leaves the home and for bedtime. When not in the kennel I love to lie around and am always checking on what my foster mom is up to. I am up to date on all my immunizations, spayed and micro chipped.

Since I have been with my new foster mom I keep on surprising her with all that I know and understand like sit, stay, wait, down, step away, go lay down, step back, pretty girl, and will walk along side of her if she asks me too. My foster mom uses a gentle leader to walk me, because I can pull a bit and this calms me down while on our walks 4-5 times a week averaging about mile and half sometimes more each time depending on the weather.

I don’t mind being around other dogs and share my foster mom’s home with her two other dogs. I wouldn’t mind sharing a forever home with another dog if they like me, but I would be just as happy to be an only dog and have a family all to myself.

I think the perfect home for me would be an active family that goes out on adventures and nice hikes/walks or a home that needs a service companion, someone to love on me. A nice yard with high fence would be nice as well to play fetch outside and run around chasing squirrels. I really love going on car rides to new places, enjoy my walks, and belly rubs along with cuddles every chance I get. I am not sure about little kids but love my foster mom’s 11 year old boys. I don’t like it when the cats, here in my foster home, try to rub up on me and get in my space though.
