Molly came from Texas at the end of December, so she was able to spend the New Year living in freedom with heat, food, water, and love.  She has very little history, and was found running on the highway with one puppy, Cooper.  Cooper ended up getting sick and we lost him in January.  Molly was a great mom, very loving, and it shows with her interaction with humans.  She is a bit guarded, but once she trusts you, she will love you with all that she has.  She loves licking hands, feet, and if you are ignoring her while cooking, be prepared for a nudge in the rear, letting you know she is still there.  She is working on not trembling with fear when you pull out a leash and take her for walks or a ride.  She likes to have a safe place to go, where she has quiet time to regroup from having so much attention.

We are guessing she is around 2 years old and is approximately 55 pounds.  She is a lab mix, black with white paws and chest.  She loves playing with her foster brother, who is also 2 years old.  She has no issues with kids, other dogs, and has not been tested with cats.

She is left out free all day with no issues, other than chewing up slippers and socks.  When put in a crate, she has no issues at all.  She has never had one accident in the house since being with us.  She knows sit, and will stay.  She is very smart.

Molly is working on learning to play with toys, and loves being outside.  A yard would be ideal for her, and I think she would do well with a friend, but if being an only dog, her humans should be around quite a bit until she knows she is safe and loved.  Molly is a great companion dog with so much love to offer.

If you are interested in adopting Molly, please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $175 adoption donation.  She is spayed, housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.  Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
