Meet Elmo! Elmo is a handsome 5yo Boxer and a big boy, weighing in at 80 lbs! Elmo was found severely underweight with a burn scar on his back. He has since gotten some good groceries under his belt and has never let his scar take away from his loving personality. Elmo is just the happiest boy and LOVES every person he meets, including males, females and children. He does get very excited when he meets new people friends and sometimes jumps for joy to greet and give very sloppy kisses.  Once the excitement settles he is a very good boy and does not jump, but he still loves to give sloppy kisses if you let him :) Elmo is a typical boxer, full of energy and fun and needs an owner that will give him lots of exercise. He is very happy running on the beach or going on long walks through the neighborhood, though he would love a house with a yard to run and play.  Elmo also loves running around at the dog park with all of his friends! He can sometimes get a little overwhelmed at crowded parks but does very well with both big and small dogs with a proper introduction. Elmo would do great with another dog brother or sister to play with, but he does chase cats and bunnies if he gets the chance, so preferably no other small pets. He is house trained and knows his basic commands, including sit, lay down and “back up”. Elmo walks very well with a harness but is a big boy, so he needs someone with experience with larger breeds. Elmo is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. He most recently had a dental cleaning with an extraction. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies.  ♥

*Elmo is available for local adoptions only and a home visit will be required prior to adoption. Elmo’s adoption fee covers one training session with his new family and our certified training/behaviorist to assist with a safe and smooth transition into his new home.
