He has his eyes on you! And what wise, warm eyes they are. Clearly a family pet at one time, this frisky 40-pound fellow is fondly familiar with life in a loving home. Very playful and extremely energetic, ardent Argo LOVES his power walks and thrives on vigorous exercise, such as games of high speed fetch with his fosters. Then once he’s sated, he morphs into the sweetest of snugglers, cuddling with them on the couch or bed and filling any open lap. He also gets along well with other frisky dogs and respectful older children. Easy to teach and eager to learn, he’s crate and housetrained, knows his "come", "sit", "off", "down", and "stay" commands, and is honing his leash skills. If he’s mouthy, he responds promptly to "ouch", and if he jumps up excitedly, "off" brings him down to earth. He’s still not a fan of the car, and due to his highly developed prey drive, lunges at bicycles, skateboards and scooters during his walks. With time and training, however, this overly zealous, yet joyous pup will both improve and impress. The best home, then, for affable Argo, is one with a fully fenced yard and active, affectionate adopters committed to his ongoing education in exchange for his enduring love.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $200 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
