Kodi is available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. He to CCR from a terrible situation in Kansas with his sister. CCR has been told that he is a Husky mix and is approximately 2 years old, but that is just a guess made by shelter staff, rescue volunteers, and our veterinarians.

Kodi's piercing blue eyes and gentle demeanor will win you over before long.  This sweet and gentle boy had a lonely start to life and as such, is a little timid around humans initially.  It takes him about a week to warm up to his new environment, and after that time, he'll come up for pets and will give you kisses.  He loves being around humans, but is just a little more cautious than your average dog.  He enjoys going on walks and does extremely well playing with other dogs.  While he hasn't been around children, I have no doubt that he'd be his usual gentle self.  He's house-trained and crate-trained (though doesn't require one).  He knows how to use a dog door and is extremely food motivated (but again, incredibly gentle).  He's quiet and not a barker.  He's a sweetheart just looking for some consistent love.  Because he's still a little uncertain of humans, he will do best in a home with another dog who wants to play with him.

If you are interested in adopting Kodi, please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $200 adoption donation for him. He is neutered, micro chipped, and up to date on his shots. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter. In addition, most dogs listed as potty trained will experience an adjustment period as they learn the routines in their new home.
