Chester is a connoisseur of the finer things in life, and well he should be, as he has had about 10 years to acquire his superb taste. As any parent of a Rat Terrier can tell you, 10 is just a wee bit past middle age, so Chester likely has many more years to enjoy the things he's come to love so much--good food, comfy beds, and unconditional love. Now all he needs is you to share his appreciation of life's blessings. He would love to take walks with you (which might help him shed the excess 1or 2 lbs. of his current 13 lbs.), and if you have other dogs, he's game for some playtime too. He'd also be a fine companion to children who are mature enough to treat him to the gentleness he deserves. His tolerant attitude does not extend to cats, however, so he requests that you please not have any of those pesky critters. Chester is house-trained and can be trusted to roam freely in the house if you need to be away for a few hours. When you return, you'll find him snoozing on his bed and blanket or greeting you with a wagging tail at the door. As for those comfy beds, Chester loves to sleep with his humans, but he'll happily sleep in his own bed if you prefer. Oh, and don't forget--he LOVES his head, neck, and back scratches and belly rubs, of course. Chester did have some seizures before coming into foster care, so he takes an inexpensive medicine called phenobarbital twice a day to keep the seizures under control, and this doesn't affect his activities in any way.
