Hi, my name is TABITHA, and I am looking for love – but I guess I was looking in all the wrong places because I ended up as a stray in a shelter in Texas. Lucky for me, Colorado Canine Rescue (a non-profit) brought me to the Denver area so I can find love in the right place – my forever home.
I’m a 28-lb Whippet-mix (at least that is what I look like), and Foster Mom says that I am incredibly sweet and smart. But she also says I could use some training, for basic manners as well as for walking on a leash. I may be a little shy when we first meet, but soon I’ll be asking for tummy rubs. I am very good in the house and take care of my business outside (although there might be an accident or two while I am getting used to my forever home). Foster Mom doesn’t have a doggie door, but I do know how to use one and like being able to go in and out anytime I want. However, she does have a fenced yard and dogs of all sizes to romp with, and I’ve done just fine with them – although she says I am a “tomboy” because I play so rough and tumble. There are also cats, but I pretty much ignore them. I am crate-trained, but sometimes I whine and make a fuss because I’d rather be with you. And of course, sleeping on your bed is much better than sleeping in my crate (I’m a pretty good snuggler, if I do say so myself). The only things I don’t like are loud noises like thunderstorms and motorcycles – they scare me so I want to stay close to you.
Do you think you can give me the love I’ve been looking for? I’ll give it right back! Please go on-line right now to fill out an adoption application at www.coloradocaninerescue.org. CCR is asking a $175.00 adoption donation for me, which is such a deal because I am spayed, vaccinated, heart worm negative and microchipped. Remember, though, the Rescue can’t guarantee my breed composition or my age – but you won’t care about that once you meet me!
