Meet the Dukester!  Duke is a 4 year old, 33lb, Shar Pei mix.  He may look like a tough guy, but he is very sweet and affectionate.  He is very timid initially and needs to earn your trust before opening up.  Dukester is mostly potty trained and thrives with lots of reassurance through hugs, kisses, encouragement and treats, he really loves cheese.  Dukester will need a home with an experienced dog owner who is patient and gentle.  He is starting to go for walks, but is fearful of cars and wary of strangers.  Dukester is so sweet and eager to please, and needs the right owner to help pull him out of his shell.  Duke would prefer a quiet adult only home.  Dukester is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines.  His adoption fee is $250 which helps Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies.  ♥
