A cuddly teddy bear of a dog, handsome and happy Bear is 67 pounds of affection, curiosity and enthusiasm. He loves nothing more than resting his head in his foster mom's lap and giving her kisses in return for tight hugs and belly rubs. Easygoing and friendly towards other dogs and outgoing with both adults and children, he's endlessly curious about everything around him and thrives on a regime of regular exercise to keep him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied. This includes long walks, brisk romps around the yard and access to a wide assortment of toys and puzzles. One of his cuter quirks is rolling around on his back, both indoors and out, while he gleefully plays with his toys. Although he’s had no formal obedience training, he’s quite well mannered and is now at work on his "sit" and "wait" commands. He does, however, have a high prey drive and a zest for chasing cats and squirrels, and must be closely watched on his walks. Best crated when alone to stop his curious nose from leading him astray, he also requires patience when learning any new housetraining routine. Bear’s ideal adopters, therefore, must be patient and loving, have a yard with a 6-foot solid wood fence, with NO cats or other small animals, who are committed to continuing his training and keeping him physically and mentally satisfied in exchange for a lifetime of endearing teddy bear affection.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $250 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
