Hello! My name is Tux, but my foster mom calls me Tuxie or sometimes Mr Whispers because my meow is so quiet. My favorite time of the day is whenever I'm being fed and snuggled with. I love food. My foster Mom says that can be a problem sometimes because I have a sensitive stomach and need to be on a strict diet. When I'm not begging for food, I love to play. Foster Mom often laughs when we're playing because I chase things full speed without looking at what's in front of me. I can be shy with new people initially. It took me a few days to come out and say hi to Foster Dad when he would visit, but now we're pals. I'm also shy around active dogs. Foster mom has dogs and they're pretty quiet and kind of scary at first but now they don't seem so bad. I don't mind other cats, but I can play rough sometimes and my foster brother doesn't always appreciate that (Foster mom here, Tux is also FIV+, so he would be best in a home without other cats or another cat that is also FIV+. Many cats can live long and happy lives being FIV+, they just need annual exams to ensure a clean bill of health). I would love to go to a home that would love to give me snuggles, would make sure I stay on my special diet, and would have a nice spot to watch the birds from inside. Did I mention I love food?

If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, Feline Leukemia & FIV testing & de-worming.  We ask that our cats remain indoor cats unless otherwise stated & agreed upon & do not allow declawing -click here if you would like to learn more about why we do not support declawing.   We are a smaller group that typically takes on harder cases that require special homes so we ask that applicants live in our area - if you do not live in the MN or surrounding states, please contact us via email before submitting an application to determine whether the animal you are interested in is a case we are comfortable adopting out to a family out of our area.
