Ruby is available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. She appears to be a 1 year old Terrier/Chi mix but that is just a guess made by shelter staff, rescue volunteers, and our veterinarians

Ruby loves to be by your side throughout the day and she crawls up onto your chest at night to snuggle while you watch TV.  She loves her little plushy squeak toys and has a ball taking them out of her crate each morning to play with; Mommy makes sure to put them all in with her at night to sleep with.  Ruby loves other small dogs to play with but large dogs are not her cup of tea!  She is fearful of loud noises (4th fireworks are not her friend) so indoors is where she prefers to be.  Ruby would do best in a home without cats or young children.  She is crate and house trained.

Ruby’s crate is her safe spot so a good size one that can hold her Dog bed with plenty of room for toys makes her smile!  She will stick to you the whole day long and does not try to run out the door.  Ruby is perfect for the homebody who is not into running/hiking, she is a Velcro Pup with some loose kneecaps ( bilateral luxating patellas) so winning a marathon is not for her but she still likes to climb those mountainous beds, LOL.  If you like a snuggler this is the girl for you!!  She will be your BFF before you know it!

If you are interested in adopting Ruby please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $200.00 adoption donation for Ruby.  Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.   Please note that even house trained dogs will have accidents when adjusting to a new home.
