Biggie Smalls came into TIGR with a huge appetite, but not just for food, but for love and affection!  He weighed in at just over 24#.  He has adapted well in a house with kids and another Iggy and sometimes more. His foster brother is definitely the alpha dog here, but Biggie adjusted well to being #2.   He lets his brother be the boss and they have since gotten along very well.  Biggie loves to cuddle.  If you are sitting down he would prefer to be laying on or next to you. He is a little spoiled and needs to be with you, and most of the time that means on the couch and definitely on the bed with you.  He's a typical IG when it comes to goofyness and love.  He loves to be loved and he loves to love you. He will follow you from room to room and lay down while you work.   He does well with his kennel, but he needs a bribe of a treat every time.  We are working on the reward for getting in rather then the bribe to make him go in.  But he's a quick learner.  He know all kinds of commands.  And he's got a few tricks up his sleeve too!  You won't feel lonely with this guy, he really likes to talk to you.  Especially when its close to meal times.  He really likes to tell you how hungry he is. When his foster dad comes home he knows its feeding time so its a lot of talk, fun, petting, and excitement about dinner.  Biggie will scratch at the door to let you know he needs out, and he'll tell you when he's ready to come in too. Other than that he's a pretty quiet dog.  His potty skills are pretty good.  He needs to go out right away before he eats, and don't dilly dally, or he will take care of business on his own.  Biggie likes structure, so living in a home with school age children his has thrived and his potty skills are regulated.  So Biggie knows we get up, potty, eat, and potty again.  He knows to be still while his foster mom wipes his paws from the mud and rain, and he might even try to give her a quick lick of affection.

Biggie has been on a "diet" since he came into foster.  He does well with his current meal plan.  His foster mom has tried a couple of healthy treats, most of which Biggie doesn't care for, but he is expanding his palate for better choices.  With all this, Biggie is down just over 4#.  He needs to lose a few more pounds.  Biggie won't be the thinner iggy, but a more muscular iggy, which is why he got the name Biggie Smalls.  He does enjoy walks, and does well on a leash most of the time, sometimes the neighbor dogs will get Biggie and his foster brother worked up and its time to go home.    Biggie loves to be with his pack, but he's open to new friends.  He has never met a stranger, unlike his foster brother who thinks everyone is a threat. When his foster mom picked him up for the first time, he greeted us with love, affection and kisses!  One of the friendliest dogs his foster mom has ever had.  He will do very well with school age kids, he will lay on the floor and let them pet and play with them. And you can't help but to fall in love this his adorable tongue!  He is missing his front teeth which makes his tongue stick out at times.  Having a cute "lispy" look doesn't stop him from eating good kibble or anything else he can sneak, or that his foster mom wants him to think he sneaks.
