A homeowner reported a mother rabbit and three kits living under her deck.  Rescue attempt was made, but only one baby, Mistletoe, was located in the nest, which had suffered water damage.  It was possible the mother was moving the babies and had not yet gotten to this last one. The remaining babies and mother were not located again.

Mistletoe was only at most 2 weeks old when rescued and weighed about 6 ounces.  She was fed a formula of kitten milk replacement, whole milk yogurt, and heavy cream.  She graduated from squirrel nipples (which she chewed instead of sucking from) to lapping from a bowl and made steady gains.

Mistletoe is cuddly, purrs when petted, and likes to watch the daily happenings from her roomy cage.  In the last day or so, she has begun to chew and nip when petted, so she is being offered chew toys.  When she nips, I squeak at her to let her know it "hurts."
