Sweet Casper arrived at the HSKC on a stormy day just before Halloween along with his brother, Spider, and sisters, Cobweb and Pumpkin.  The small kittens had been found, motherless, and in need of immediate warmth and care – and a kind member of the public brought them in to us.  The soaking wet babies were too young and needed round-the-clock care, so they went into foster with one of our HSKC Staff members, where they’ve grown strong and healthy, have enjoyed the comforts of home (lots of love, care, and spoiling!), and where their little personalities have emerged!

Upon arrival at home, little Casper buried himself under blankets to keep warm.  And he was very loyal to his sick sister Pumpkin, refusing to leave her side and often curling himself around her or on top of her to let her know that he was there for her.  That’s our little Casper – the loyal protector!  He was so hungry at first that he’d shove his entire face straight into the food bowl and emerge covered in food and in need of a clean-up.  He’s since learned to slow down when eating – but still needs his adorable little face wiped from time to time!  He loves playtime with toys and climbing posts, meeting new people and animals, and playing tumble with his siblings.  But he secretly enjoys cuddling up in bed with his humans for some down-time and to watch a movie, too!
