MIKA is a bit of a problem child, only because she poops outside her litter box. We are working on this problem, but she returned to us for that reason. It’s certainly not a good point for adoption, but otherwise MIKA is lovely, friendly (to people) and getting nicer to other cats. She has a long and delux tortoiseshell coat and likes being inside but has a bit of a walkabout outside too.
Maine coon type with long hair and ear tufts, not breed. Three beautiful kittens about 9 weeks old were found abandoned in an apartment building laundry room. Rescued by a resident, all 3 are now in foster care, beautiful, healthy and friendly.
We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats’ Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
