Timber is an adorable one year-old, 12 pound Chihuahua Terrier mix. He is a smart, energetic little guy who thinks the world is his toy!  He loves playing with other dogs, large and small because everybody is his friend.  Timber loves tough rope toys, chew rings and “wild knots” Kong toys are fun!  His home is his Pirate Ship to explore, grab a new toy then jump on Mom for a hug!  His human is his best friend and he enjoys snuggling on your lap or behind your back on a sofa as you watch tv.   Timber has learned to walk on a leash very well and a short walk is great bonding time as well as the fun sights and sounds.  There is no such thing as a stranger when it comes to Timbers love!

Timber has mastered "sit" and "come" so we have moved on to "stay".  He is food motivated so treats help with this.  He sleeps all night in his large crate and goes out potty first thing every morning, and once adopted he will need to be trained to your schedule.  Timber needs someone who has the time to play with him and give him mental stimulation for his fast little brain!  He will do best in a home, not an apartment, because his little arf when  engaged in tug of war with you won't be appreciated with shared walls.  He loves back rubs!  Meet this little sweetie and you will fall in love!

If you are interested in adopting Timber please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $200.00 adoption donation for Timber.  Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.  In addition, most dogs listed as potty trained will experience an adjustment period as they learn the routines in their new home.
