Sally “Al” is a 2yr old Chihuahua mix available through Colorado Canine Rescue.  She came to CCR from Houston, TX with her puppies Sancho and Selina (also available through CCR).  She weighs 10 pounds, is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and vaccinated.   

Al is an incredibly sweet girl who rarely barks and she warms to people very quickly.  She is trusting of men and women but has not been exposed to children.  She would likely do well in a home with pet respectful children around 4 years or older. She loves to sun bathe, play with squeaky toys, and run around the yard with other dogs.  Initially she was good with the cat, but is now testing her limits so she might not do well with a timid cat.   

Al tolerates being in her crate, but would much prefer to have the run of the house.  She’s very happy snuggling up with her humans but is not overly clingy.  She’s done excellent with potty training and after an initial grace period will impress you with her behavior. Al would be great in an adoptive home with a yard and another dog but all home situations will be considered.

Please note that CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter. In addition, most dogs listed as potty trained will experience an adjustment period as they learn the routines in their new home.
