Sweet and lovely little Earle is a playful, affectionate, silly guy in an adorable 13-lb. package! Once a reserved and shy boy, 5-year-old Earle has really blossomed in his foster home and now happily greets new people when they come to visit. It takes him a little bit to get comfortable in new environments, but he takes his cues from his canine friends. As long as there is another dog around, Earle is quickly able to shed any anxiety and open himself up to new situations.  Earle is great with most other dogs, playful with those who wish to engage with him and respectful of those who don’t. Affectionately known as Early, Earle the Pearl, and Squirrel, Earle has lots of fun settings – sweet and cuddly, bubbly and friendly, and silly and spunky. Earle loves to play with toys and enjoys playing fetch, tug, and “find the treat.” He is very smart and eager to please, making training easy and enjoyable. Earle is house-trained and crate trained, though he strongly prefers to snuggle in bed with family when possible. Although car rides make him nervous, he rides quietly in his travel crate. Earle is getting better with leash walks, which were scary at first, and he does quite well when he has another dog on the walk with him. Because grabbing hands can frighten Earle, he is not suited for a home with small children. Earle longs to be adored and cherished by a family who will love him forever, and he deserves a life filled with comfort and tenderness.
