Maybe it's a good thing that 8 1/2-year-old Tracy is almost blind. We wouldn't want her to see how quickly other dogs are being adopted from New Rattitude, while she has waited month after month without a single application. Honestly, we don't get it! This sweet 26-lb. Rattie mix has no other physical problems or any behavioral issues, and caring for her diminishing eyesight requires no medication. All she needs is someone who can work with her limited vision by keeping her environment physically consistent and predictable. She will surprise you with her ability to move about with ease both indoors and out. Needless to say, her adopting family should not have young children, who are rarely consistent or predictable, but she would make a great companion to an older adult who is home most of the time. In fact, she would very much enjoy sitting beside you on the couch and "watching" TV. Like most other dogs, Tracy does have personal preferences when it comes to living amicably with other furry friends, but those preferences are not unreasonable. She is not a fan of cats, period. In fact, you would think her vision is 20/20 when she stands at the fence and barks at any cat that walks by! Tracy would also rather not have to put up with those quick-to-correct dogs who might take offense to her accidentally bumping into them. (She means no harm; she just didn't see them!) She gets along with more mellow dogs, however. Tracy is house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, so you'll have a live-in partner to help you meet your daily step goal! Truly her needs are very simple--to love and be loved. Tracy's not asking for pity; she's just asking for a chance.
