Meet the invincible Mr. Vince! When Vince found himself still at the shelter days after his date to be out "or else," he would not be defeated. He just showed the shelter staff what an incredibly loving pup he was, and they kept him safe till he could be rescued. Now in his foster home, 18-lb. Vince continues to impress everyone with his all-around awesomeness. Sweet, happy Vince loves people (including older, dog-savvy children), and he has learned how to peacefully coexist with cats. Check out his profile photo that shows how cozy he has become with his feline foster brother. With reinforcement for polite behavior around kitties, he'll get along just fine with any cats in your home too. He would be perfectly happy being the only dog there, but he'll get along well with older, calmer dogs when introduced appropriately. In his 8 or so years, Vince has acquired lots of winning attributes. He's crate trained and solidly house-trained. He'll even walk over to the door and scratch it when he needs to go out! At some point along the way, he also acquired a low-grade heart murmur, but he experiences no issues from it. Vince rides quietly in the car, walks well on a leash, and knows the command "sit." At playtime, he'll ignore a ball, but he'll unleash his Rattie spirit upon a good squeaky toy. (See a video of him in action in his online photo album athttp://imageevent.com/newrattitude/vince .) And at cuddle time, he'll snuggle next to you on the couch and sleep in your bed, staying close to you until you move in the morning. More than anything, Vince wants a home that has a human to interact with--someone to talk with, to walk with, to snuggle with, and to share his adorable underbite with. This boy's a winner, we're con-VINCE-d of it!
