Gemma is a cuddly, loving, sweet, and friendly lab mix who enjoys playing with humans, other dogs, and toys (e.g. rope, stuffed toys, antlers, balls, etc). Once introduced, she plays appropriately with other friendly dogs. She loves her dog bed and being wrapped in blankets. She is also house-trained, crate-trained (goes in on command), and good on walks. She is very food-motivated and a great listener, and can sit, stay, “down”, give paw, “touch”, and “leave it”. Gemma requires consistent training and supervised introduction to strangers. She would do better as the only dog in the house or paired with a male dog. She's not the biggest fan of being left alone in the house (will bark and whimper a little bit), but video surveillance has shown that Gemma soothes herself after 15-20 minutes. Gemma will make a great companion and loving addition to any family that has a passion for training, bonding, and working through needs with their animals.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $250 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
