Meet Dexter, darling little boy, rescued from a hoarding situation. He is doing so well!

He is a sweet terrier and chi mix, about 6 lbs and 3 1/2 years old and very ready to start a real life. He has been in one of our foster homes now and is a happy and sweet little fellow.

He loves adventure: car rides, bus rides, long walks, runs, and trails. He also will never say no to a meaty snack.  Dex would love to trail run or hike regularly or to take agility classes. 

Dex is soft like a stuffed animal, yet spunky and hilarious. His antics make him so adorable and funny, and he'll keep you smiling. He is still a little skittish with touching - does not like to be picked up and is easily startled by sudden movements but will cuddle well, and gets along long well with calm and well mannered dogs. No kids for him, too much chaos. 

He is potty trained and needs potty breaks every 6 to 8 hours during the day.  Dex loves the warm weather and sunshine, but rain and cold, not so much. If the weather is nice, he will potty immediately outdoors. 

Because of his rough beginning to life, he needs someone who will invest time into his training and continue to work with him on leash walking. He is walks well on a leash but is sensitive to noisy surroundings.  His "leave it" is almost perfect and his "touch" is impeccable. 

He would love to find a forever family that is very active, will continue his training, and is ready to take him on adventures.  We would like to see him in a more quiet home where he can learn and continue to blossom. He would love a doggy companion to hang with in order to be his best self. He deserves the most amazing family and is an awesome little dog. 

He is now updated on all shots, neutered and will be chipped.  His adopt fee is $395.
