Hello, my name is Big Poppa. I traveled a long way to meet you! I was living near an apartment complex in Roswell, NM where I was brutally attacked by a dog. A kind lady took me in, tended to my wounds and she contacted the rescue. I am a beautiful tom cat, all muscle and love. The purpose of my life is to follow you around and adore you all day. I love to sit on your lap and give you purr-therapy. I’m very social with people and good with cats. I am not a fan of dogs due to my history. I am not a picky eater and very well-behaved. If you are looking for a loving companion, I am it!

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

• $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens (6 months & under)
• $150 for purebred/highly requested cats (older than 6 months)
• $150 for kittens (6 months & under)   
• $75 for cats (older than 6 months)   
• $35 for senior cats (8 years or older)
