April Mae is a female black cat, born in July, 2017.  She's a chubby opinionated little sass box in black velvet with a white medallion at her throat. She is minor special needs as she has a damaged cornea in her right eye. It causes her no pain but it does make that eye water and sometimes matter up and then she needs an ointment applied to it. Because the tear glands drain into the nasal passage, sometimes her nose runs- just a clear water type discharge. She has partial vision in that eye but it does cause her to miscalculate when jumping on occasion, so she usually climbs up on the couch or bed rather than jump from the floor. She has never been around children and I don't think small children or rowdy loud children would be a good match with her. She has her quirks- she doesn't like being touched near her tail and on occasion will take offense at being asked to move. However, she is usually affectionate and sweet and will ask to be petted. She is playful and active. loves the cat tree with its hammock cups, chases balls and laser lights. She was raised with a small older dog. Introductions to a new dog friend should be made slowly and carefully. She is spayed, strictly indoor only as her reduced vision makes it unsafe for her outside. The adoption fee is $15 This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to:
