Who likes big cats? We do! —  and BEAR fits the bill at around 16 lbs of solid cat, although he looks even bigger with his long coat. BEAR came from the large colony in Amissville we fixed and relocated due to the death of the caregiver, and we thought he'd be happy as an outside cat, so we placed him and a buddy at a family's home, with a shelter. Unfortunately after they were released from their confined transition period, they only stayed a week and then took off! We wer e upset of course, as it's a rarity, but we think maybe they never adjusted to the family dogs. However, BEAR's story didn't end there, as many months later RappCats contacted us to see if we recognized an ear tipped cat that was living under someones porch... We recognized our BEAR right away and went and picked him up asap. He looked good and was friendly not scared, what's more he was barely a quarter mile from his adopter's home! So this time we want to find BEAR an inside or inside/outside home, because we know he's not really into beng an outside bear, and is more of a teddy bear. He likes to nap, get brushed, have belly rubs and enjoy the good life of having his own home. He's easy going, but still curious and fun, and we think he's around 4 or 5 years old.

ONLINE ADOPTION FORM:        https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
