Booker is a 7-lb. hunk of spunk. This Rat Terrier mix will make you laugh, smile, and want to pick him up for hugs and kisses! He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and loves to play. Even though his terrier temperament can bring out a tiny bit of bossiness now and then, he needs to be with another dog to keep him occupied and to show him the ropes. Booker is confident for a 1-year-old--at least in his foster home, where everything is pretty predictable, but new situations (and vet visits) can cause his adorably tenuous sense of bravado to crumble. That, combined with his tiny size, would likely not fit well in a home with young children, who by definition are unpredictable. Booker is also quite the agile pup. He can easily scale a baby gate, but he only does it if he has been left alone and wants to join you. Fortunately he has shown no inclination to escape the fenced yard at his foster home, but he'll use his athletic abilities to climb up your leg like a cat just to curl up in your arms. Actually, Booker is more of a cuddler than a climber. He is a medium-energy boy and an awesome snuggle buddy, who will love sleeping under the covers with you at night. Booker is house-trained and crate trained, and his leash walking is also going well.
