Observations with Dogs and Cats: I'm pretty picky about my canine friends, but that doesn't mean I won't like your dog! I typically like animals closer to my size, but as always the whole family (dogs included) should come meet me! Cats look really exciting, but the staff think that I shouldn't try and play with them so much, so cats wouldn't be a great idea for me to have at my new home.

Observation with Kids:  Older kids would be great, I have a lot of energy and can easily knock down little ones.

Additional Information: Meet Hudson! Upon looking at him, you'll have to take a second glance. He has the body of a Basset, and the head and color of a Terrier. Hudson was surrendered to us through no fault of his own. When he first arrived in our care, he was extremely scared, and showed no interest in making friends with the staff. He recently spent some time with a dog trainer to work on his manners, and while he improved he still has a way to go! He has a lot of energy, so having another dog that he likes around certainly helps with his excitement. His ideal owner would be someone with experience working with more shy timid dogs, as well as someone with the patience to show this handsome man how safe and loved he is.
