Abe is closely bonded with his sister, Sandy, and the pair must be adopted together! Abe is a dutiful brother and loves to groom and snuggle with Sandy. If you sit cross-legged on the floor, he will sit in your lap for a long time while you pet his velvety soft head. He loves to do binkies and zoomies, especially when he sees his sister do them first. Aside from hay, Abe's current favorite food is kale.

Sandy is an adventurous little explorer who likes to be the first to try anything new. Although she's hesitant at first about being picked up, she likes to be held and will nuzzle up under your chin while you pet her. She loves to climb and get up on her two hind legs to periscope. Her current favorite food (other than hay) is green leaf lettuce.

Sandy and Abe have adapted well to their new foster home and are expected to transition successfully into their forever home. If you take it slow, get down on the floor with them, and be patient, they will reward you with nose boops, chinning, and then climb all over you. They have very good litter habits and do not bite. It's adorable to watch them together  -- they always check to see what the other is doing and you can watch them communicate with one another. They are very good about sharing: if there's one treat left, the first one to find it will only eat half and save the rest. When one starts grooming her/himself, the other comes over to get in on the action. They both love playing with toys, chasing each other in circles, munching on cardboard and paper, and burrowing in towels.

The pair was rescued, along with two other siblings, in August, 2018 after a week-long effort by several Rabbit Advocates volunteers to capture baby bunnies let loose on the grounds of a local elementary school. The buns were likely born in late June 2018 and are all on the small side (less than 4 lbs each).
