Rhonda is a six year old deaf Rottweiler mix who hails from a very busy kill shelter in Texas. We saw videos being networked on Facebook of this sweet girl, posted by volunteers trying to save her life. Rhonda was scheduled to be euthanized at 8am the next morning after we viewed the video.

Rhonda was happy, calm, good with the other very active dogs in her kennel, and unbelievably sweet with people that visited. Her tail never stopped wagging, and she charmed our socks off. There was no chance that we were going to let her die at the shelter.

We put out a national plea for a foster home so that Rhonda had a place to go when we pulled her from the shelter. Another rescue helped us get her pulled and fostered, and she headed to CA on a volunteer transport two weeks later. Everyone who met her along the route loved her.

Rhonda adjusts very quickly, and is pleasant, happy and undemanding every minute of the day. She is petite for a Rottweiler, in the prime of her life, appears to be very healthy, and has many years of love to give.
