Happiest when active, handsome Hurley, at a fit 50 pounds, is extremely energetic, earnest and playful. He’s also exceedingly gentle, affectionate and sweet. He loves cuddling with his fosters, following behind them while "telling them tales", then snuggling up by their heads at night to sleep. He also loves frolicking with his furry foster sister, playing with his many bones and squeaky toys, and has even started to play fetch. Eager to learn and highly motivated by all things food, he knows "sit", "down", "touch", "watch me" and "spin" and is diligently at work on "come" and "off". Comfortable on car rides with his foster sib close by, he does well with other dogs once he meets them although he still barks at those he passes during his walks. And since he tends to pull on his leash, his fosters now use an easy walk harness, stopping intermittently to allow him to calm down. Housetrained to use a doggy door, nothing would make Hurley happier than finding an active and attentive home with someone there more often than not to complete his training and boost his confidence in return for his happy Hurley love.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $250 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
