Poppy is a 1-year-old Rat Terrier mix, who's as plucky as she is pretty. Traveling from Georgia to her foster home in Indiana, this petite girl of 14 lbs. met the recent polar vortex head on, dashing about in snow up to her belly. Now she's ready to meet you, and "neither rain nor snow...nor gloom of night" will hold her back. You will love how she snuggles in bed, but she asks that you please not pick her up. She much prefers to come to you on her own terms. If you have another easygoing dog, that's just peachy. Poppy LOVES the Golden Retriever in her foster home and follows him everywhere. Cats simply arouse her curiosity, but she doesn't chase them. And while she can be a bit leery of men at first, she will warm up if you give her time and space. Poppy is house-trained as long as she is taken out regularly, but she doesn't tell you when she feels the need.
