Blizzard, 3 years old. Secure Fenced Yard. Only Dog. 85 pounds
Needs: home with a fully fenced yard, only dog. Meet Blizzard! What a gorgeous boy he is! He's has been through a lot but has blossomed into a sweet and wonderful friend. Blizzard was found tethered to a barn, where he lived his life on a short chain out in the cold. When we rescued him he was emaciated, covered in sores and had injuries to his back legs. Today, so fully healed and healthy, Blizzard is a sweet and gentle boy and thinks he is a big lap dog. He is the goofiest, happiest tank, so full of life and loves people and toys the mostest!
While his rescue story is a sad one and he has been through a lot, he has completely forgotten what life use to look like because his life now is SO good! He has skin allergies that are under control and can be well managed with the right food and sometimes some allergy medication.
He never had much exposure to other dogs when he was tied up on a chain, but does get along with proper introduction. He is currently in a home with another dog, but they do not like to share toys and beds. Blizzard will need to be the only dog in the home from now on. We recommend him for a home with kids over 12. He can easily knock over a small child.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was rescued by some amazing people during the early months of 2019 chained to a barn in the snow. I was rescued and rehabilitated. I regained my playful spirit and ended up in a foster home with some really great friends who showed me what love was again. I learned to walk run and play again. I have a huge tongue and love to share my kisses. I love to play with balls, squeaky toys and chewy ropes. Along with my favorite activity of rolling around in my bed and being silly. I can run and play but I can also chill and give the best snuggles.Unfortunately I am not always willing to share my space with other dogs which is the reason I need to find a new furever home. I need a home with a big yard for me to run around and play along with my human to help keep me worn out and out of mischief. I have my own kennel and Im trained to use it really well. I don’t make a mess of it and I don’t argue when I need to go in when you have to go to work, school or the store.Please take me home and lets be best friends forever.
