Meet Poppy!  A sweet, sassy, senior girl that is waiting to steal your heart! Loving and smart, with a sparkling happy- go-lucky personality; Poppy is waiting for her special someone. She is affectionate and not afraid of PDA. If you hate kisses, Poppy is not the dog for you! She loves long walks/hikes, grass rolls, exploring, and relaxing car rides.   Although she is (technically) a senior dog, she has energy to boot…but is also excited about relaxing and snuggling with her person. Poppy likes to choose her friends, both doggy and people alike.  She would be happiest in an adult home as the only pup. Although she agrees that kids are cute, she doesn’t love the chaos little kiddos can bring.

Poppy is crate trained and house trained, can free-roam your home, and walks on leash like a pro. Her smart brain loves to be challenged by learning new tricks and having new adventures. She has a mind of her own and is eager to please (don’t forget the treats, please)! She doesn’t love loud noises or being overwhelmed. She’s a ready-to-go gal, but likes a calm environment to explore. Did I mention that she’s a comedienne? She has been known to dunk her whole face under the water! Our silly Poppy has been waiting too long for her perfect family, too many days without the companionship that she so yearns for and deserves! She’s hoping right now that her furever might just be you!

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $0- Sponsored by the Petfinder Foundation and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
