Hi my name is Amy.  I am a young girl, about 3 or 4 years old, who is very shy and timid right now. My owner passed away and I came to rescue with some other dogs from the same place...we don't remember what our life was like before we got here but we are all pretty shy.  I really want someone who will love on me and help me gain confidence. My foster mom says I am really a sweet, sweet dog who wants to be close to her or foster dad as much as possible...my favorite spot is on someone's lap while they work or watch tv.  I sleep in my crate at night with the door closed if I can be near you...I just don't want to be by myself. Foster mom says that I've had just a few accidents in the house, and they watch me closely and take me out a lot, but I rarely have any accidents now.  I really got brave and started going tinkle in the grass instead of the concrete near foster mom, so I have come a long way.  I am a good weight, about 17 lbs, and I have a beautiful soft coat that's just waiting for you to stroke and snuggle.  I do get along with other dogs but I am not particularly interested in playing with them so it really wouldn't matter to me if I have fur brothers or sisters. Foster mom says I am probably the closest thing one could get if wanting a puppy because I look and act like an unsure puppy, and would probably be best with an owner with plenty of energy for a puppy! I would do best in a home without kids as well. I will need some leash training and lots of love, but I am walking on a leash really well with my foster mom, which is a huge improvement from when I came, love and patience is what gets me going!  Are you ready to make me your special girl?  Amy's adoption fee is $350.
